Initially, the bidding was among Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers, Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils to catch the 2011 World Cup hero in the auction. But as the bid reached to 7 crore, Rajasthan Royals and KXIP quit. That time the bidding left between Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers. And after reaching 14 crore, DD sold Yuvraj Singh for the record 16 crore finally.
